Recent studies have shown oral immunotherapy desensitization are impressive and should not be dismissed. The first one involved peantut and 62% in the peanut treatment group achieved desensitization. In the milk study, 61% tolerated milk protein.
There remains a lot to be studied for Oral Immunotherapy, it is not currently available for clinical practice, but only for research studies now.
